My "To-Read" Reading List...

There are so many books out there that I want to read...  Here are some that I'm hoping to make it through sooner rather than later!

  • Something by Nora Roberts...  I haven't read any Nora Roberts novels, but one of my friends loves her, so it's on my list!
  • Another Maeve Binchy novel... I liked the first book I read by Binchy, so I'll give her another go and see if I still like her style!
  • Black Dagger Brotherhood - At a Girls Christmas party, this series of novels came up and I was told that I MUST read these.  (Another vampire series...)
  • The Scorch Trials, The Death Cure and The Kill Order by James Dashner
  • Seriously... I'm Kidding by Ellen Degeneres
  • Bossypants by Tina Fey
  • The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl who Played with Fire, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest
  • The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
  • House Rules by Jodi Picoult
  • Tiger, Tiger by Margaux Fragoso (Seems like a "tough" read content-wise, but I have heard good things about it.)
  • The Casual Vacancy by J.K. Rowling
  • The Host by Stephanie Meyer
  • Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend by Matthew Dicks
Any other suggestions?

  2. A very funny read for teachers is 'Teaching is harder than it looks' by Gerry Dee. Very light easy read about a teacher, who is now a comedian. He writes about his past experiences as a student and as a teacher and comments on certain issues that revolve around schooling. Certain issues that are mentioned are bullying, salary, school dances etc. I hope you enjoy it if you decide to read it :)

  3. Thanks for the Gerry Dee recommendation! I like his stand up shows about teaching, but haven't really been able to get into his show "Mr.D." ... I'll keep an eye open for it and if I see it anywhere, I will give it a go!

  4. I've heard Tiger, Tiger is amazing!

Also, a friend and I made a mobile app for this very purpose. It's called To Read, it's free, and it's on iOS and Android :)
